What is the average adult penis size?
The simple answer is: five to seven inches. However, it depends on how you measure. This figure is true when you measure along the side of it, while fully erect, while sitting with legs spread, and while the penis is pointing straight out. Any natural curves or bends are evened out. One can come up with a longer measurement by measuring along the bottom base of the penis, or while lying down and measuring between the testicles, etc.
In my opinion, the base of the penis and the area that goes way down beneath, almost to the anus, should be considered also because that area gets harder when erect. However, that would mean I would come up with more than a five to seven inch figure for myself. I don't think that area is included in the survey statistics, although it probably should be.

Sometimes the penis can continue to grow after puberty. Some guys grow until their late teens or 20s. If you are three inches in the flaccid state, then you are within normal range. I've heard of natural remedies for penis lengthening but I'm doubtful about their effectiveness. I've seen a lot of scams on the Internet and in magazines that claim to naturally lengthen the penis. I would also recommend seeing a doctor before attempting any lengthening procedure. Cutting off the circulation to the penis is possible if a lengthening procedure is done incorrectly.

I can assure you that 5.5 inches is well within average range for an adult male erect penis. The majority of sources I've consulted say that there is no proven and safe way to naturally increase the length penis. Some people say certain gimmick or novelty methods really do work to increase the length but I doubt they show considerable and worthwhile results for most people. Also, I would question whether any results are permanent or just temporary. I've read about scam methods that sound like they could cause damage to the erectile tissue. Some methods may stretch the penis a small amount, but I seriously doubt any scam that promises to add inches to the penis within days will work well. Even if you increased the size a little bit, who would notice? A fraction of an inch is not worth all the time, money, and effort. Would losing weight make my penis bigger?
Losing weight may make your penis look bigger in proportion to the rest of your body but I seriously doubt it will make the penile organ itself any bigger. It's possible that obesity can cause some of the shaft of the penis to be concealed inside the body, which would make the individual appear to have a smaller penis. If obese, losing weight can help out the body in many other more important ways. However, be sure to review any weight loss program with your doctor. Losing too much weight can cause health problems.
